As a former business owner in production and currently in the quality sector, he brings a unique perspective, driving continuous improvement initiatives. With 26 years of experience across the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Infrastructure industries, John is highly skilled and adaptable professional specializing in corrosion engineering, protective coatings, and quality management. His expertise spans from project management and quality assurance to inspection and failure analysis, with a strong track record of implementing and managing ISO 17020, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 45001 certified quality and safety management systems.

As a Protective Coating Subject Matter Expert (SME) and NATA Technical Assessor, he has successfully led inspection teams, conducted internal and external audits, and collaborated with third-party auditors to ensure compliance and operational excellence. His experience includes corrosion assessments, protective coating failure analysis, maintenance planning, and developing corrosion mitigation strategies for both onshore and offshore projects.

Beyond technical expertise, he is dynamic leader with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, adept at driving cross-functional teams toward project success. His background also includes expert witness experience in protective coating legal cases, ensuring a well-rounded perspective in both technical execution and industry compliance.

Tim Mallam is a seasoned professional with a strong background in the Mining and Oil & Gas industries, bringing over 15 years of experience in asset preservation and fabric maintenance. His expertise spans rope access, scaffolding, protective coatings, structural repair and advanced rigging, making him highly knowledgeable in industrial operations and site execution.

Having successfully built and sold a business for profit, Tim possesses a keen commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating his ability to drive efficiency and profitability. Six years ago, he transitioned into an office-based role, where he has applied his deep industry knowledge to project management functions. His key competencies include project coordination, cost control, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, and project risk mitigation.

Tim’s combination of technical expertise and strategic insight positions him as a valuable asset in delivering operational excellence and project success in high-risk, high-value industries.

With over 34 years of experience in the protective coatings and corrosion management industry, Mark offers a depth of expertise across the full lifecycle of asset protection, from new-build construction through to refurbishment, maintenance, and life-extension programs.

Throughout his career, Mark has held senior roles spanning estimating, project management, technical authority, and executive management within multinational organisations. This breadth of experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of commercial, operational, and technical drivers across complex projects in mining, oil and gas, and major infrastructure environments.

Drawing on decades of practical project experience, Mark now focuses on delivering independent technical advice, assurance, and specialist support to asset owners, engineering teams, and contractors across Australia, helping improve quality outcomes, strengthen compliance, and protect long-term asset performance.
